Join Our Team at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center

We’re looking for dedicated Surgical Technology professionals to join our team to support the cardiac program.

Hours of Operation: 2 x 12-hour shifts and 2 x 8-hour shifts per week with variable days off plus call.

What We Offer:
  • $5k sign-on bonus for external candidates with 1+ years of experience and $2,500 sign-on bonus for new grad techs.

What You Will Do:
  • Provide safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using nursing interventions to help attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health.
  • Provide patient care in a primary scrub role.
  • Assist with technical responsibilities in assigned operative procedures.
  • Ensure instruments and supplies are present and in proper working condition.
  • Provide labeled medications with correct doses on the sterile field.
  • Support the operative team, including following patient care handoff protocols.
  • Participate actively in quality improvement processes.
  • Engage in learning and self-improvement.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
  • Refer to departmental documentation during orientation for specific duties and responsibilities.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI), adhering to annual training, the UH Code of Conduct, and policies regarding PHI use.
