Job summary

UW Medical Center-Northwest is recruiting Surgical Technologists for the Day Shift in Seattle. You will prep and maintain operating rooms, assemble instrumentation, equipment and supplies, and support sterile technique to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program and one year of experience assisting clinical staff in a variety of operative procedures in an operating room environment.
• Certification as scrub technologist is preferred.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in the patient care experience by prepping and maintaining our Operating Rooms for surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with scheduling team and surgeons to coordinate procedures.
• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining vigilance of instruments and supplies.
• Perform scrub role while supporting patient safety and a sterile environment.
• Support post-operative tasks including removal of contaminated instruments, decontamination and turnover of the Operating Room.
