Job summary

Medical Solutions Direct Hire is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a position in Bethel, Delaware. Join a dynamic surgical team dedicated to excellence in patient care and support surgeons before, during, and after procedures.

The role requires maintaining sterile fields and collaborating with the perioperative team. Candidates with prior hospital experience—especially Level II Trauma Center—are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Previous hospital-based Surgical Tech experience preferred (Level II Trauma experience a plus).
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and maintain sterile surgical fields and instruments for each procedure.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating procedural needs.
• Support patient safety and comfort throughout all perioperative phases.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterilization standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers for optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all surgical activities accurately and in accordance with hospital policy.
• Participate in ongoing professional education and skills development.
