Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Surgical Services Team at Baptist Downtown. This is a Full-Time Days position, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays when needed.

The role requires assembling sterile fields, anticipating surgeon needs, and promoting patient safety. CST/NCCT or NBSTA credentials are preferred; TS-C NCCT and CST are required in many cases. Experience in OR settings is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program
• 1-2 years Surgical Services Experience
• High School
• AS
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) NCCT Required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Required

Responsibilities

• Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments
• Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
• Call is required for this position.
