Job summary

UW Medical Center-Northwest Outpatient Surgery Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our full-time day shift. The role includes prepping and maintaining operating rooms, collaborating with surgeons and staff, and ensuring sterile technique and patient safety throughout the procedures.

Qualified candidates have completed a Surgical Technologist program and hold scrub technologist certification or equivalent OR experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program.
• Certification as scrub technologist and/or one year of experience assisting in operative procedures.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in the patient care experience by prepping and maintaining our Operating Rooms for surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with scheduling teams and surgeons.
• Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining vigilance of instruments and supplies used during procedures.
• Perform scrub role while supporting patient safety in a sterile environment.
• Support post-operative tasks including turnover of the Operating Room.
