Job summary

Allina Health in Minnesota is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support our operating room team. You will prep the OR, set up for procedures, maintain sterile technique, and assist the physician during surgeries in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Required: accredited Surgical Technology program and AD/ Vocational degree; BLS certification; CST or TS-C certification within 1 year; 1+ year of experience preferred. This role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• 1+ year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a surgical team member
• Prepares the OR and sets up for procedures
• Identifies supplies, instruments and equipment needed
• Maintains sterile field and aseptic technique
• Assists the physician in the scrub role during procedures
• Counts instruments and ensures all items on the field
• Communicates needs to physician and circulator during surgery
• Complies with safety and regulatory standards
