Job Summary and Qualifications

Role Summary: Provides direct patient care by assisting the surgeon to achieve surgical outcomes. Supports the perioperative team by scrubbing and caring for patients before, during, and after surgery.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or LPN program.
• Preferred Education: Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology.
• Required License: Current BCLS certification; for hires after August 1, 2007, certification must be obtained within one year. LPNs must have current NC license and BCLS certification.
• Required Experience: Clinical experience in surgical technology or one year in an applicable acute care OR setting.
