Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Windham Hospital seeks a dedicated Surgical Technologist to support sterile technique and aseptic care in the operating room. You will ensure available instrumentation, supplies, and equipment for scheduled procedures, and assist with room turnover between cases.

Ideal candidates hold CST certification, a high school diploma or GED, and graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

Surgical Technologist will facilitate the surgical care maintaining an aseptic environment. She/He will insure that all required instrumentation, supplies and equipment are readily available. In addition will assist with room turnover between scheduled cases.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program

• CST certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of surgical tech or OR work experience

Previous Surgical Technologist Experience Preferred

• Manual dexterity
