Qualifications

• Completion of a surgical technician program.
• NBSTSA certification required or obtainable within one year of employment.
• CPR, BLS validation and annual Validation Day required.
• Knowledge of sterile field, asepsis and patient safety concepts.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Ensure proper arrangement of surgical equipment and supplies in the OR for each operation.
• Assist the surgeon during operations as allowed by standards and regulations.
• Assist with cleaning the OR after procedures and proper routing of equipment.
