Job summary

Trinity Health's Chelsea Hospital in Chelsea, Michigan, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team. You will assist in preparing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and passing items to surgeons during procedures across gynecology, orthopedics, and general surgery.

The role requires graduation from a certified surgical technologist program and certification within six months. On-site day shifts, full-time, with on-call duties and a supportive benefits package.

Department: Operating Room - In our Operating Room at Chelsea, more than 5,000 inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed annually in the fields of gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, otorhinolaryngology, podiatry, plastic surgery, and spine surgery.

Position Purpose:

Utilizes the principles and practices of surgical asepsis in the preparation of surgical instruments and supplies, maintaining a sterile field and passing instruments to surgeons within the sterile field. Anticipates the needs of the surgeon by demonstrating knowledge of surgical procedures and the anatomy and physiology of the human body.

Shift Available : Day Shift

Status Available : Full time (benefit eligible) - 72 hours per pay period – every two weeks

On call required (must be within 45 minutes of the hospital when on call)
