Baylor Scott & White Surgicare - North Garland is seeking a Surgical Tech Coordinator to lead the Sterile Processing Department and support OR staff in providing safe, efficient patient care.

You will oversee workflow, instrument inventories, and sterilization standards, with a focus on staff development and interdepartmental collaboration in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 2–5 years of Sterile Processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization, decontamination, and infection prevention.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department.
• Coordinate department workflow and maintain instrument inventory.
• Ensure compliance with sterilization standards and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with Operating Room staff and physicians to ensure safe patient care.

Surgical Tech Coordinator at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare - North Garland:

The Surgical Tech Coordinator provides leadership and oversight for the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department. This position is responsible for coordinating department workflow, ensuring compliance with sterilization standards, supporting staff development, maintaining instrument inventory, and serving as a resource for Sterile Processing Technicians. The Coordinator also performs sterile processing duties and works collaboratively with Operating Room staff and physicians to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) required
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of Sterile Processing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization, decontamination, and infection prevention practices.
• Thorough understanding of surgical instrumentation and equipment.
• Previous leadership, lead technician, preceptor, or coordinator experience preferred.
