Uvalde Memorial Hospital (UMH) is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support a busy, team-oriented OR. Our services include General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Women’s Health, Cardiology, and Urology, with C-Section support for Women’s & Newborns’.

The role involves standardized shifts, plus an overnight and weekend on-call rotation. On-call typically requires 10–14 days per month, with 1–2 weekends. You must report within 20 minutes when called in.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CST NBSTSA or TS-C NCCT certification is required.
• Experience may be accepted in lieu of certification for those who worked as a surgical technologist before Sept 1, 2009.
• Documented U.S. military surgical technology training may be accepted in lieu of certification.
• BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Support a busy, team-oriented operating room.
• Assist in General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Women’s Health, Cardiology and Urology cases.
• Be part of on-call rotation; 10–14 days per month including 1–2 weekends.
• Report to the hospital within 20 minutes when called in for on-call duties.

We're looking for a dependable, patient-safety-focused Surgical Tech who thrives in a collaborative environment.**Schedule:**This position is typically schedule Monday-Friday from 6:30am-3:00pm, but will vary based on OR needs. Additionally, this position requires an overnight and weekend on-call rotation.
