Essential Functions:

The purpose of the job is to establish and maintain a sterile field and safe environment throughout the surgical procedure, to assess instrumentation and equipment needs, and to anticipate and provide instrumentation and equipment needs for the surgeon’s use in a timely manner to enhance patient outcomes.

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (CPR, BLS) - American Heart Association

Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), or from the National Certification for Competency Testing (NCCT)
