Qualifications

• Graduation from an ARC-ST accredited surgical technology program or RN with WA RN license.
• Surgical Technologist Registration: WA, upon hire; or RN: WA, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up the operating room and patient for the procedure following aseptic principles.
• Assist surgeon and team by scrubbing, gowning, gloving, and handling sterile instruments.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure sterile environment throughout procedures.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Surgical Technologist, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients. Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment. You will be expected to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively within the OR team, and contribute directly to the patient's healing process. To be successful in this role, you must possess adaptability, a strong team-player mindset, and enthusiasm for supporting complex surgical procedures.

• Prepares the operating room and patient for the surgical procedure by applying principles and techniques of asepsis to work assignments; sets up sterile equipment, instruments, drapes and solutions; assists with scrubbing, preparation of sterile field, gowning/gloving members of the surgical team.
• Helps the surgeon and any assistants put on their surgical gowns and gloves.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduation from surgical technology program accredited through Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology ARC-ST., upon hire or
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing may be substituted for graduation from an accredited surgical technician program., upon hire and
• Surgical Technologist Registration: WA, upon hire or
• Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Preferred

• six months operating room work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities
