Responsibilities

As a Surgical Technologist, you are an integral part of the medical team, providing surgical care to facilitate safe and effective completion of invasive procedures. Responsibilities include assisting with instrumentation, stocking duties, scheduling procedures, and ensuring compliance with environment of care requirements. The Surgical Technologist will be accountable for sterile and aseptic techniques, surgical procedures, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support physicians during invasive and therapeutic procedures.

Qualifications

We require:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or successful completion of formal on-the-job training leading to Tech in Surgery Certification through the National Center for Competency Testing.
• A minimum of six months OR experience preferred.
• Current registration with the State of Washington as a Surgical Technician and BLS Certification.
• Ability to take night and/or weekend call.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Understanding of instrumentation, equipment, and sterile techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in emergency situations.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and perform manual tasks.
