Job summary

The Advanced Center for Surgery in Vero Beach, part of United Surgical Partners International, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to scrub for orthopedic and neurological procedures and maintain a sterile field. You will prepare supplies and assist the surgical team, contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Required are a surgical tech program or equivalent, state certification, and ASC experience; robotic joint experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with surgical tech training or equivalent.
• State certification as required by state.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Experience with robotic total joint.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Understanding and implementation of aseptic techniques.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.
• Excel in teamwork and communication with staff, patients, and physicians.

The Advanced Center for Surgery is a busy, multispecialty ambulatory surgery center in Vero Beach, performing outpatient procedures in Orthopedics and Neurology.

Surgical Technologist at The Advanced Center for Surgery

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Experience with robotic total joint
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
