Job summary

Northwest Eye Surgeons in Renton is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery team. This part-time role is 32 hours per week with the potential to reach 40 hours based on patient volume and surgical needs.

You will work closely with surgeons and staff to prep, sterilize, and hand instruments during ophthalmic procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. On-the-job training and a supportive culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Process and sterilize instruments to the highest standards.
• Assist and handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures.
• Understand procedures and anticipate surgeon needs.
• Maintain sterile technique and sterile field during operations.
• Demonstrate teamwork and clear communication with the surgical team.

Northwest Eye Surgeons is a nationally recognized ophthalmic medical and surgical practice offering a wide range of eye care services, advanced technology, and exceptional clinical expertise. Requirements

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Windows or G-Suite
• Effectively work in a team environment.
• Demonstrated multitasking
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of sterile technique as it is applied to the operating room
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate excellence in communication skills and ability to convey ideas and information, verbally and in writing
• Strong organization and attention to detail

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year experience as an ophthalmic assistant
• Current CPR/AED is mandatory (ACLS is preferred)
