We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technician to join our team at Adventist Healthcare Surgery Center at National Harbor. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, assisting surgeons and nurses during procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized operating room environment. *Responsibilities:*

\* Prepare the operating room and equipment for each surgical procedure, ensuring that all necessary supplies and instruments are readily available.
\* Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during surgical procedures, including setting up surgical equipment, maintaining sterile technique, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
\* Provide direct patient care, including pre-operative preparation, positioning, and post-operative care.
\* Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the anesthesia provider or surgeon.
\* Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medication administration, surgical procedures, and post-operative care.
\* Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all procedures are performed efficiently and effectively.
\* Restock supplies and restock instrument trays as needed.
\* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.

*Requirements*

\* Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field.
\* One year of experience as a Surgical Technician in an accredited surgical facility, preferred.
\* Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT), preferred.
\* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
\* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and strong communication skills.
\* Strong understanding of surgical procedures and medical terminology.
