Minimum one year of experience preferred; CST and BLS certifications required. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current CST certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum of one year of surgical technologist experience preferred; ambulatory surgery center experience a plus.
• Orthopedic, spine, pain management, or interventional procedure experience desirable.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for procedures and ensure instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready.
• Assist surgeons and RNs by anticipating needs and maintaining sterile field.
• Handle surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies as directed during procedures.
• Perform surgical counts with circulating staff per hospital policy.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot specialized surgical equipment (e.g., drills, microscopes, navigation systems).
• Ensure proper care, handling, and cleaning of instruments post-procedure.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of techniques and safety standards for ortho, neuro, and pain specialties.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and technicians to maintain workflow and patient care.
• Support inventory, restocking, and quality assurance processes.
• Uphold infection control and safety policies at all times.

The Surgical Technician is a key member of the surgical team, providing technical support during operative procedures in orthopedics, neurosurgery, and pain management. The role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The Surgical Technician ensures all instruments, equipment, and supplies are available, sterile, and properly maintained to support safe and successful patient outcomes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of surgical technologist experience preferred; ambulatory surgery center experience is a plus.
• Orthopedic, spine, pain management, or interventional procedure experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced surgical environment.
