Job summary

Orison-Solutions-LLC seeks a Surgical Technician to support the RN Circulator, maintain sterile conditions, and prepare instrumentation for procedures in the OR and Endoscopy Lab. You will assist physicians, manage specimens, and help document events as required.

Role requires strict asepsis, coordination with nursing staff, and the ability to work across OR settings. Day shift with rotating on-call duties, starting 11/04/2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• Ability to follow RN instructions and operate in a fast-paced OR.
• Strong attention to asepsis and sterile technique.

Job description

Under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technician is responsible for the care and safety of the patient during the surgical procedures, provides technical assistance in the Operating Room; has knowledge relative to the ages of the patients served. Essential job functions include preparing the room with the nursing staff for the the surgical procedure, in a timely and organized manner; correctly practices the principles of asepsis; cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes all equipment in the OR, and Endoscopic Lab; coordinates care of the patient with the RN Circulator; stocks and replaces CS items, prepares CS inventory sheet; maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures; assists the physician during surgical procedures, and has correct instrumentation organized and available; Follows verbal physician orders in the operating suite; handles surgical specimens; compiles the necessary equipment on the surgical field; timely documents unusual occurrence reports, and other departmental forms as required; performs CPR as needed; correctly and proficiently uses all applicable instruments and equipment; cleans and wraps instruments for sterilization; transports patient to and from the OR; monitors surgical equipment, maintenance and repairs; completes duties as technical scrub in OR; prepares room and equipment for Endoscopy procedures; must maintain a cooperative disposition, within the OR room; other duties as required.
