Job summary

Baylor Surgicare at Oakmont, located in TX, is actively hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery team.

The selected candidate will scrub for ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics and related procedures, maintaining sterile technique and supporting patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with Surgical Technician Program completion.
• State certification as required by state and/or center.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Experience in ENT, General Surgery or Orthopedics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures and maintains a sterile field.
• Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to procedures.
• Supports quality improvement activities and team goals.
• Collaborates with surgeons and the surgical team across specialties.

Certified Surgical Technologist at Baylor Surgicare at Oakmont:

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities. Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties: ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties: ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics, strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
