*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in the operating room, ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted safely and efficiently. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff in various settings including hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.

*Duties*
* Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures by utilizing aseptic techniques.
* Assist surgeons and surgical teams by passing instruments, sutures, and other necessary supplies during operations.
* Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and functioning before each procedure.
* Monitor patient vitals and assist in patient care before, during, and after surgery.
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement infection control protocols effectively.
* Participate in the setup of operating rooms for different types of surgeries including emergency medicine and acute care cases.
* Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, instruments used, and any complications that arise during surgery.
* Stay informed about advancements in hospital medicine practices and surgical technologies.

*Requirements*

Call Required per Rotation: Call is rotating and assigned by the needs of the unit. Baseline call is approximately one day every other week as a backup to our staffed night shift and approximately one weekend call shift per month (24 hours). This will change depending on the needs of the unit and the OR reserves the right to assign additional call when needed.

*Certifications:*
BLS, NBSTSA Certification Required
