Job summary

Covenant Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator, you will maintain the sterile field and pass instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.

You will ensure aseptic technique to prevent contamination and infection and assist the RN with circulating duties. This role supports Providence’s patient-focused culture in a fast-paced perioperative environment at Covenant Medical Center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or Armed Services Surgical Technology program.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire Or
• National Tech in Surgery - Certified - National Center for Competency Testing upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

Responsibilities

• Maintains the operating room sterile field and passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.
