Job summary

Providence Covenant Hobbs Hospital in Hobbs, NM is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. Under RN Circulator supervision, you maintain the sterile field, pass instruments, sutures, and sponges, and support circulating duties.

Description

As a member of the surgical team, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator, maintains the operating room sterile field; passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery. Insures that proper aseptic technique is utilized to prevent contamination and infection. Assists the registered nurse with circulating duties.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or Armed Services Surgical Technology program.

• National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire or,

• National Tech in Surgery - Certified - National Center for Competency Testing upon hire.

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
