Position Summary: Responsible for providing safe, efficient patient care through the performance of the scrub role duties during surgery and other invasive procedures. The surg tech works under the supervision of the perioperative Registered Nurse and physician in delivering safe and effective care to the patient during the intraoperative period.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Medical terminology preferred
• Graduate from a surgical technology program or previous experience as a surgical technologist required

Certifications

• Maintains CST certification (if held upon hire or attained after hire)
• BLS required (may obtain upon hire)
• Mandatory Reporter certification required (may obtain upon hire)
• Certified Surgical Technologist preferred

Minimum Work Experience

• Previous surgical technologist experience preferred
