Schedule: 1st shift | Monday - Friday 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM | Full-time (36 hours per week)

The Surgical Technician, under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and/or RN Clinical Coordinator, is responsible for the care and treatment of patients in the ASC. They have access to health information including demographics and limited clinical data relevant to the encounter. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.

Requirements
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an approved program for Surgical Technicians.
  • Thorough knowledge of principles and practice of surgical asepsis.
  • BLS (CPR) certification through the American Red Cross and American Heart Association.
  • Successful completion of hospital and unit-specific orientation, including age and population-specific skills relevant to the practice area, addressing growth and development needs of patients.
  • Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
