Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Surgical Technician for the 37703 High Point Medical Center - Surgery Room. This part-time position involves weekend coverage with 0 hours per week currently scheduled, reporting to the RN in the operating suite.

Required is graduation from a Surgical Technology program or an accredited nursing school, plus Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). Prior certification in a specialty area is preferred.

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Certification in specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking, anticipation and management of case specific needs, under direct supervision of the RN.
• Ensures complete, accurate and timely care, cleanliness and management of instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Communicates to the team, co-workers and patients in an effective, positive and professional manner.
• Demonstrates effective, positive, professional manners while exercising verbal and nonverbal communication to the multidisciplinary team, co-workers, and patients.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or from an accredited school of Nursing.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION
