AHN is seeking a Surgical Tech (Casual Ambulatory Surgery Center) for the Heritage Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center in Monaca, PA. This part-time, on-site role supports the surgical team as a scrub member, assisting with procedures and instrument processing during daylight hours.
You will prepare and reprocess instruments, maintain a clean and safe surgical environment, and ensure compliance with surgical standards. BLS certification and post-secondary Surgical Technology training are required.

Work Hours: Monday thru Friday, daylight; hours as needed
Under the supervision of a registered nurse and according to established nursing standards and surgery center policies and procedures, assists with surgical procedures as a scrub member of the surgical team. Prepares/Reprocesses surgical instruments and maintains a clean and safe surgical environment.
REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited post-secondary education program in Surgical Technology. Command of the standards of surgical technique. BLS certification.
Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Effective December 2020, new hire surgical technologists must meet at least one of the following requirements:
Surgical technologists must comply annually with the continuing education requirements necessary to maintain the certified surgical technologist credential and provide proof of compliance with the health care facility upon request.
PREFERRED
Two years current Operating Room experience. AST Certification.
