An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technician to join their team at Lake View Hospital. In this part-time role, you will provide crucial support during operative procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient safety. Your responsibilities will include preparing surgical instruments, assisting the surgical team, and maintaining a sterile environment. Assists in evaluating the patient plan of care within the environment, contributes to overall unit efficiency, safety, workflow and utilization; performing other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of a surgical tech program.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned area. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the area/department policies and procedures.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Intermediate Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw or interpret bar graphs to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
