Surgical Technologist – Precision, Teamwork, and Life-Saving Impact
Join our dynamic surgical team under the leadership of the Nurse Manager, where your expertise makes a direct impact in every procedure. As a key player in the operating room, you'll scrub in on a wide range of surgical cases, anticipate the needs of surgeons, and ensure every tool and piece of equipment is ready for action—from high-tech surgical drills to complex OR systems.
Your role is critical in maintaining a sterile, safe environment where patient safety comes first. You’ll be responsible for the care, handling, and operation of both simple and advanced surgical equipment. You’ll also monitor sterilizers and sterilization processes, ensuring everything meets the highest standards of infection control.
Experience in Labor and Delivery strongly preferred
Hourly Pay Rate: $24.00 - $35.40
Qualifications
Education:
Requires a high school diploma or GED. Must have graduated from a vocational program for Surgical Technicians or Technologists. Three (3) years of on-the-job training experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education.
Experience:
Prefer three to five (3-5) years of experience with diverse surgical specialties.
Certification/Licensure:
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Must obtain a BLS card through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking). Knowledge of operating room practices. Ability to respond quickly and have instruments ready for surgeons. Strong interpersonal skills to promote collaborative relationships within staff and community.
