Job summary

Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a part-time Surgical Technician II Non Certified for Labor and Delivery. This role requires successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). The technician will assist in surgeries and maintain sterile environments.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and tuition assistance. Salary range is $34.68 to $40.24 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required.
• Experience in military surgical technology may substitute for educational requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures as a Surgical Technician.
• Prepare and maintain sterile environments in the operating room.
• Support the surgical team with various tasks before, during, and after surgeries.

Labor and Delivery

36 hours Nights shift

No Call/ Weekends Required

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification provided by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.

New Graduate Acceptance

We will accept New Graduate Surgical Technology program participants.

The position of Surgical Technician / Technologist (non-certified or certified) requires the following education and certifications:

Non Certified – requires successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program (not all online courses will qualify), the clinical hours are also required prior to being considered. (We do not offer clinical hours outside of Education Institutions that we do not have affiliation agreements with). Military Surgical Technologist experience may be considered in lieu of training program.

Salary Range: Minimum $34.68/hour - Maximum $40.24/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
