Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Surgical Technician II to support animal care, perform surgery prep and basic procedures, anesthesia, post‑op care, and contribute to model development in a biomedical research setting.

Responsibilities include animal feeding, cleaning, keeping records, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with IACUC and quality standards. The role is primarily on‑site with rotating weekends/holidays and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• minimum 2-year degree in animal science or relevant experience (laboratory, veterinary, surgical)
• strong animal welfare ethic
• ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk on concrete for periods
• basic math and communication skills
• team-oriented with leadership ability
