Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT seeks a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team in sterile field setup, instrument handling, and specimen care.

The role collaborates with the surgeon and circulating nurse to ensure patient safety and efficient procedures. The ideal candidate completes a Surgical Tech program and attains NBSTSA certification with BLS hours upon hire, with OR experience preferred.

Formación

• Surgical Tech program coursework/training.
• NBSTSA certification upon hire.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• 1 year OR experience (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Set up and maintain a sterile field.
• Assist surgeon and circulating nurse as necessary.
• Maintain familiarity with OR equipment and instruments.
• Initiate responsibility for care of specimens.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The primary duties of the Surgical Technician include: being prepared for and knowledgeable of the surgical procedure to be performed, setting up and maintaining a sterile field, assists surgeon as necessary, assists circulating nurse and other members of the surgical team, maintains familiarity, function and proper care of all OR equipment and instruments. The Surgical Technician initiates responsibility for care of specimens and performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training:Surgical Tech program.
• Upon hire: National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 yearof Operating Room experience.
