Job Description
Functions as a member of the surgical team performing assigned duties of the technologist in the scrub role. Applies knowledge of concepts necessary for maintaining the integrity of the sterile field. Serves the following populations: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Requirements
Education: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Certification: CPR required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Years of Experience: Prior experience in a surgical setting preferred.
Certification: Preferred Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) or certification from NCCT.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Personal Protective Equipment: Must be able to tolerate frequent exposure to latex and latex products.
