Responsibilities include preparing sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment, while maintaining strict sterile technique throughout procedures. The position supports Providence's patient-focused care culture and weekday coverage expectations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES with NBSTSA/JCAHPO/NCCT certification.
• Completion of armed forces or Public Health Service training with 16 hours of CE every 2 years.
• “Grandfathered” status for ASC/hospital/government work experience with 16 hours of CE every 2 years.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association; Vendor Managed BLS accepted.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with the surgical team to provide direct patient care and optimize surgical outcomes.
• Assists the surgeon and team during procedures by providing sutures, supplies, instruments and equipment.
• Maintains proper sterile technique throughout the procedure.

Education
