Job summary

Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, IA is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team and provide patient-centered care in a rural hospital setting.

The role involves performing scrub duties, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring the readiness of operating room supplies under RN and surgeon supervision. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates, with PTO from day one and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Current Surgical Technician certificate or diploma.
• Current certifications in BLS and Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporting or completion per hospital policy.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgery Technician program.

Responsibilities

• Works in the operating room environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgeon.
• Performs scrub duties for patients of all ages and maintains sterile technique.
• Monitors and ensures availability of supplies for the operating room and central supply.

Lake Regional Healthcare is currently seeking a Surgical Technician to deliver the best possible care in LRH's patient-focused setting.

SUMMARY:

Works in the operating room environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgeon. Functions as a member of the healthcare team by performing scrub duties for patients of all ages. Scrubs for all types of surgical procedures, demonstrates and maintains sterile technique. Monitors and obtains supplies for the operating room and central supply.

CERTIFICATIONS,LICENSURE &/OR REGISTRATIONS:

Current Surgical Technician certificate or diploma. Current certifications in BLS and Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporting or completion according to hospital Education Policy.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of an accredited Surgery Technician program.

Six months surgical scrub experience preferred.
