Job summary

Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, IA is seeking a dedicated Scrub Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care in the operating room. The role supports patient safety and teamwork within the OR team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in nursing.
• Six months RN experience required to work in the Operating Room.
• Previous scrub nurse experience preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; mandatory reporting of abuse as per policy.

Responsibilities

• The Scrub Nurse serves as an integral part of the Surgery Department, coordinating patient care and implementing the plan of care in the operating room.
• Collaborates with physicians and ancillary departments to ensure quality care and efficient OR throughput.

Lake Regional Healthcare is currently seeking a Scrub Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver the best possible nursing care in LRH’s patient-focused setting.

Summary

The Scrub Nurse serves as an integral part of the Surgery Department, utilizing the nursing process to identify patient needs, systematically plan and implement a plan of care and continually evaluate the outcomes of that care. RN provides and coordinates quality care for patients of all ages in the operating room, along with physicians, ancillary departments, and co-workers. Demonstrates knowledge and competence in utilizing the computer system to perform nursing responsibilities.

EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE

Associate degree or above in nursing. Six months RN experience required to work in the Operating Room. Previous experience as a scrub nurse is preferred.

CERTIFICATION And LICENSURE

Current Iowa RN license. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporting or achievement according to hospital Education Policy.
