Job summary

Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, VA is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the safe and efficient execution of surgical procedures. This in-person, full-time role requires standing and assisting in perioperative activities to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Minimum 6 months of relevant experience is preferred; High School diploma or equivalent is required, and a surgical technology program is preferred. BCLS certification is desirable and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred;Graduate of a surgical technology program preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months prior experience in another facility.
• Certifications: None required; BCLS preferred.

Essential Functions Additional Information

• Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
• Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
• Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
• Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Additional Requirements Include

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Graduate of a surgical technology program preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months prior experience in another facility.
• Certifications: None required; BCLS preferred.
