Job summary

Clinch Valley Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Surgical Technician to facilitate safe and efficient surgical procedures in a full-time, in-person role at our Richlands, Virginia facility.

You'll join a team dedicated to high-quality patient care with opportunities for professional growth, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing development while supporting diverse patient populations across the hospital.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Surgical technology program preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months prior experience in another facility.
• BCLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
• Patient populations served include Neonate to Older Adult.
• Protect the confidentiality and access to Protected Health Information.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Graduate of a surgical technology program (preferred)

Position Summary

The Surgical Technician will facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Essential Functions Additional Information

• Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
• Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
• Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
• Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Additional Requirements Include

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Graduate of a surgical technology program preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months prior experience in another facility.
• Certifications: None required; BCLS preferred.
