Job summary

Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, AR is seeking a Surgical Technician to join our patient-centered team. The role offers day shifts, full-time hours, and call requirements, with duties including preparing the surgical suite, transporting and positioning patients, and passing instruments during procedures.

Applicants should have at least 6 months of prior facility experience; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and graduates of a surgical technology program are welcome.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; surgical tech program preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months prior experience in another facility.
• BCLS certification preferred; none required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the surgical suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies; ensures equipment and instruments are in good working order.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physicians during surgery and continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
