Job summary

Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, AR is seeking a Surgical Technician to join our team. This role requires a minimum of 6 months of prior facility experience and works daytime, full-time shifts with call requirements.

You will help prepare the surgical suite, assist with patient positioning, and pass instruments to physicians during procedures. The successful candidate will participate in ongoing education, maintain instrument counts, and contribute to high-quality patient care in a

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Graduate of a surgical technology program preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months prior experience in another facility.
• Certifications: None required; BCLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the surgical suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies; ensures equipment and instruments are in good working order.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physicians during surgery and continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
