Job summary

Downtown-Surgery-Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in operations under supervision of surgeons and nurses. You will prepare OR, pass instruments, and help with patient care before, during, and after procedures.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited program and CPR certification with 0-2 years of related experience; experience with total shoulder replacements is essential. Monday–Friday, no weekends, nights, or on-call duties are noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Must be CPR certified with 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.
• Must have experience with total shoulder replacements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Set up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions before operations.
• Tend to patient during pre-operation procedures and ensure operating room sterility.
• Assemble sterile and non-sterile equipment and verify proper working condition.
• Prepare patient skin and disinfect incision sites prior to surgery.
• Assist in transporting and positioning patients for surgery and draping.
• Assist surgeons and assistants by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
• Observe vital signs and support the surgical team during procedures.
• After operations, help transfer patients to recovery and restock the OR.
