Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a PRN Surgical Technician to join our upscale plastic surgery center in Greensboro, NC.

The position is day shift, as needed Monday through Friday, and emphasizes instrument handling, sterile technique, and teamwork in a private office setting. The role requires a Surgical Technologist Certification and typically 2 years of Surgical Tech experience, with preference for experience in plastics.

Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist Certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Tech experience preferred.
• Knowledge in sterilization and processing.
• Confident and skilled in assisting in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Gathers, checks, and opens supplies and equipment needed for the surgical procedure.
• Sets up the sterile back table and Mayo stand with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for the procedure.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedure.
• Assists with draping the patient and establishing the sterile field.
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Assists other members of the team with terminal cleaning of room.
• Assists in prepping the OR for the next patient.

Handles instruments, supplies, assisting in circulating and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Monitors conditions in the operating room and constantly assesses the needs of the patient and surgical team.
