Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technology program.
• Complete Certified Surgical Technology Exam within 1 year of hire.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients, and others.
• Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain clinical competency as required for the unit/area(s) of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and organizes all instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for each specific surgical procedure.
• Assists in instrument handling and procedure techniques as requested by the surgeon.
• Maintains a sterile field and technique to assure good patient outcomes.
