Job summary

UNM Hospitals in Albuquerque seeks a Certified OR Tech to join the Operating Room team. Under RN supervision, the Surgical Tech supports patient care, prepares and drapes the surgical field, and assists the surgeon during operations.

Requirements include a Surgical Tech program diploma and a nationally recognized Surgical Technology Certification. The role offers shift differentials (Weekday Nights 17%, Weekend Nights 26%, Weekend Day 15%) and PRN/Days duties.

Qualifications

• Surgical Tech program diploma is required.
• Nationally recognized Surgical Technology Certification required.
• Bilingual English, Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and draping patient; maintain sterile field.
• Scrub and assist surgeon at the operative field; turnover between cases.
• Prepare instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety, policies, and procedures.
