Job summary

Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital Medical Center in California is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technician to support the operating room team in a variety of procedures. You will set up instruments, assist the surgical team, and help maintain a sterile environment to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year OR experience in an acute care setting
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program or equivalent
• CPR certification at hire
• Fire Safety training within 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital/department policies and procedures, objectives and safety programs
• Identifies and prepares instrumentation, supplies, and equipment for procedures
• Maintains and monitors aseptic technique
• Assists the surgical team during operating procedures
• Maintains and cares for equipment and supplies, documenting maintenance and repairs
• Provides comfort and privacy for operative patients
