Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Surgical Technician III to assist surgeons and the operating team during intraoperative care. This role reports to the RN supervisor and participates in patient care across age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, in a fast-paced surgical unit.

The technician will maintain instrumentation, ensure supplies and documentation are accurate, and support the team to deliver safe, high-quality surgical services.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation.
• Experience with intraoperative patient care and nursing support preferred.
• Ability to follow strict safety policies and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
• Maintains current knowledge/certification.
• Maintains supplies/inventory for department.
• Performs all responsibilities to ensure quality patient care during operative procedures.
• Assists in circulating duties under RN supervision as needed.
• Directs other staff in the provision of care to surgical patients.
