Job summary

Join the Surgical Services Team at BJC Healthcare - Memorial Shiloh. The role focuses on supporting perioperative care, preparing the operating room, and ensuring all sterile supplies are ready for procedures.

You will scrub in as part of a collaborative team, assisting with cultures and specimen handling while maintaining strict cleanliness standards. The position involves a schedule from Monday to Friday with varied shifts, including on-call responsibilities and a $12,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Surgical technician certification required or preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• <2 years or military equivalent experience is typical for this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies.
• Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.
• Assists in turning over of room, and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper location.
