Job summary

CHI Mercy Health in Roseburg, OR is seeking a Surgical Tech to prepare the operating room and assist the surgical team during cesarean sections. You will set up instruments, ensure sterility, and collaborate with the Family Birth Place team to support patient healing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• AHA BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• At hire, one of: NBSTSA/NCCT certification, pursuing certification within 1 year, military surgical technologist program, or documented practice 2 of 3 years pre-2017.
• Oregon CNA License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment and medications for procedures.
• Prepare and sterilize supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures.
• Identify supplies and equipment from physician preference cards and update changes as needed.
• Prepare solutions and medications used during procedures.
• Label and report amounts used for charting.
• Maintain sterile environment and assist the surgical team throughout procedures.
