Job summary

You will perform duties such as maintaining asepsis, assisting with instruments, and ensuring proper supplies and medications on the sterile field, with BLS required within 90 days and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in final year of Surgical Technologist program (Required).
• Thorough knowledge of asepsis, instrumentation, suture and surgical procedures (Required).
• Good communication skills are essential (Required).
• Ability to use a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient care needs (Required).
• BLS certification within 90 days (Required).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the primary scrub position for procedures where competency is demonstrated.
• Assist with technical responsibilities in assigned operative procedures.
• Ensure instruments and supplies are present and in proper working condition.
• Provide labeled medications with correct doses on the sterile field.
• Follow patient care hand-off protocol and support the operative team.
